At Muddy Creek, we offer top-of-the-line hunts, guided by our devoted professionals. Hunting at Muddy Creek, whether you’re looking for a hunt of a lifetime, a hunt with your buddies, or a corporate group, Muddy Creek can accommodate all your hunting needs.
Preserve whitetail deer & Elk Hunts
This hunt includes 3 days of hunting, 4 nights lodging, home-cooked meals, guides, and skinning and caping of your trophy. All scores are gross SCI.
Our turkey hunts are 2-day self-guided eastern turkey hunts, including 3 nights of lodging, 2 days of hunting, home-cooked meals, and care of your trophy.

Pheasant, Quail & Chukar Hunts

Our European Hunts are held periodically from September through April 30th and scheduled according to registration.
We now have 2 towers at 2 different locations for our European Hunts (11 stations and 18 stations).

-$200 per shooter;
$50 deposit is due 10 days before the shoot or $225 per shooter on the day of the shoot
-54 shooters maximum
-Kids under 16 shoot free with a paid adult

Free Range Whitetail Deer Hunts
Our free-range hunts include 5 days of hunting, 6 nights of lodging, home-cooked meals, guides, and skinning and caping of your trophy.

Hunters must have a resident or non-resident hunting license
All game bird hunters will need a valid hunting license.
Muddy Creek Game Birds is a privately- owned and managed hunting area licensed by KDWP that provide an extended upland game bird hunting season. The Controlled Shooting Area season runs from Sept. 1-April 30th. A special CSA hunting license may be purchased that is valid only on Kansas CSAs, or hunters may hunt on CSAs with a current Kansas hunting license. Hunter education certification is not required on CSAs with a CSA license. Controlled shooting permits or Kansas Hunting licenses can be purchased at ksoutdoors.com or at most Walmarts or sporting goods stores.
The Controlled Shooting License is what most out-of-state hunters want if hunting upland birds on our preserve.
Resident and non-resident hunters must present and carry a certificate from any State-approved hunter safety course. All resident and nonresident licenses may be purchased online at the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks or we sell them here on the hunting preserve.
If you find birds you did not pay for, you are welcome to shoot them at no additional charge. Any extra birds found and harvested are a bonus.
No. It is just $75 for the group. We limit our guided groups to 5 hunters per guide.
No. Anyone wanting to watch is free to go along and walk in the field.
Yes. Single hunters are welcome, however, they must pay for 2 packages of birds.
No there is no time limit for self guided hunts. However, on a half day guided hunt the hunt will generally be around a 2-3 hour hunt.
No. All you need is a Kansas Controlled shooting license. You can buy online at ksoutdoors.com, Walmart, or most sporting good stores. The cost is around $30.00 and is good for the current year.
We are open Sept. 1st to April 30th. We stay open until we are out of birds, which is usually the end of March.
Yes. Gift certificates can be bought in $100 increments and can be used for hunts or Muddy Creek apparel.
